Service description: Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs are community- and school-based programs that facilitate a natural supports relationship between a young person and a caring adult or Teen mentor. Our programs are 1:1, following best practices for effective mentoring.

Service description: The Stronger Families Parenting Program is designed for parents/caregivers, children and families to learn parenting skills, enhance communication and grow stronger together. The program provides resources and information for parents to support and strengthen existing parenting abilities and promote the development of new competencies so that parents have the knowledge and skills needed to be positive, confident parents and provide their children with experiences and opportunities that promote child learning and development.

Service description: The Viewpoints program promotes youth emotional, physical, cognitive, social and emotional development to assist them in reaching their full potential. Youth have opportunities to engage in positive social activities where they learn skills that strengthen their social emotional well-being, and community connections. Youth learn skills to build positive supportive relationships with their parents, peers and other adults, to exercise their autonomy in safe, supportive contexts and to learn executive functioning skills such as emotional self-regulation, decision making and planning ahead.

Service description: The Family Matters program provides 8-12 weeks of specialized in-home support for families experiencing crisis. Family Specialists visit families in their own homes 2-4 times a week to strengthen existing parenting abilities and promote the development of new competencies so that parents have the knowledge and skills needed to be positive, confident parents and provide their children with experiences and opportunities that promote child learning and development.

Service description: Healthy Families is a home visitation program providing support to parents with newborns and children aged 0-6 who are in a variety of at-risk circumstances. These circumstances can include low income, parents without family or community support, history of abuse/neglect, and parents who find it difficult to cope with day-to-day family challenges. Home Visitors visit families in their homes 1-2 times/week to strengthen existing parenting abilities and promote the development of new competencies so that parents have the knowledge and skills needed to be positive, confident parents and provide their children with experiences and opportunities that promote child learning and development.

Service description: Rapid Access Counselling (RAC) provides families with a supportive, change-focused conversation at the right time. RAC can help with a challenge you're facing right now through a 75-minute focused counselling appointment. This service is tailored to support caregivers and children with a focus on supporting caregiver capacity and promoting resilience within the family. We see individuals, families, or couples for solution-focused support on a wide range of counselling needs

Service description: Multi-session, youth therapy services to enhance coping and functioning while processing distress and trauma. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and can occur in person, virtually or via phone. Our services are 2SLGTBQ+ affirming and Anti-Racist. Various languages are available.
